MacroMKR reads your World of Warcraft data on your computer to give you
recommendations for your characters. That data stays on your machine. We
have no database of your characters, macros, or logs. The only time anything leaves your
computer is if you choose to run an optional AI analysis — and even then we store none of it.
The addon (from CurseForge)
Runs entirely inside WoW on your PC. WoW does not allow addons to use the internet, so the addon cannot send your data anywhere — ever.
It reads your macros, keybinds, and loadouts and writes its settings to WoW's normal SavedVariables file on your disk. That's it.
Recommendations are generated locally and are private to you.
The desktop app (optional, separate download)
Reads your local WoW files to produce analysis — all on your computer.
We have no server that stores your characters, logs, or macros. No account, no tracking.
The optional AI feature
AI is off by default. Nothing AI-related happens unless you turn it on.
When you do, the app sends a minimal, derived slice (your class/spec, aggregate cast counts, the macros being reviewed) to the MacroMKR server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API and returns the result.
The MacroMKR server does not store your request or the response — only anonymous counters for spend limits.
Anthropic processes the request to generate the answer; per their API terms, API data is not used to train models.
We never send your account name, email, identity, payment info, or full combat logs.
What we never do
We never sell or share your data.
We never store your game data on a server.
We never put an API key or secret inside the addon or app.
